One bottle for every insect that shows up. Ants in the kitchen, flies in summer, cockroaches behind the fridge, wasps outside the door, moths in the wardrobe โ all handled by the same UK-made, HSE-approved triple-action formula, in a 500ml trigger sized for everyday household use.
500 ML ยท Trigger Spray
Most people end up with a cupboard full of specialist single-pest sprays โ one for ants, one for flies, one for wasps, one for cockroaches. All different formulas, all doing roughly the same job at different concentrations, all going out of date before you use them up. Vital Guard handles the lot.
The 500ml is not a diluted supermarket formula. Same active ingredients at the same percentages as our 1L Bed Bug Killer+ โ three ingredients doing three different jobs.
Drops flying insects on contact. When you spray at a fly, wasp or moth in mid-air, this is what's doing the work โ visible knockdown within seconds.
Stays active on treated surfaces for weeks. When you spray along a skirting board or across an ant trail, the residual film keeps killing insects that walk over it long after the spray has dried.
Stops eggs and juvenile insects from developing into breeding adults. This is why treating a moth or flea problem with Vital Guard actually ends it โ the next generation never matures.
Grab the trigger, aim, spray. Every one of these is on the HSE approval โ indoor hard non-porous surfaces, cracks and crevices, hard and soft furnishings, and outdoor ant and wasp nests.
Cockroaches, ants and silverfish live behind the fridge, oven, dishwasher and along skirting boards. Pull the appliance out, spray behind it, put it back. Do not spray food contact surfaces.
Flies and mosquitoes come in through openings. A quick surface spray around the frame edges creates a residual barrier โ anything that lands on it dies.
Spray directly along the trail and at the nest entrance. Cypermethrin residual carries into the nest on foraging workers. Outdoor use approved.
Treat at dusk when wasps are inactive. Wear long sleeves. Spray the nest entrance and surrounding surface โ the residual film catches wasps returning to the nest. Have a retreat route.
Empty the wardrobe, vacuum thoroughly, spray inside surfaces and the base. Spot-treat carpet edges. The IGR stops moth larvae developing.
Spiders, silverfish, woodlice, wasps and beetles all colonise low-traffic spaces. A perimeter surface spray around the edges keeps them under control for weeks.
Every pest here is on the HSE-approved use list for this product.

Vital Guard is HSE-approved for amateur and professional use, but it's still an insecticide. Follow the label. Key points:
Ants, beetles, cockroaches, fleas, flies, mosquitoes, wasps, moths, mites (including dust mites) and bed bugs. It's HSE-approved as a broad-spectrum insecticide for both flying and crawling insects, indoors on surfaces, cracks and furnishings, and outdoors on ant and wasp nests.
Yes โ same three active ingredients at the same percentages, same HSE approval (No. 10803-GB), same water-based formulation. The difference is size and how the product is used: the 500ml is for everyday household jobs across many pest types, the 1L is sized specifically for a full single-bedroom bed bug treatment.
Yes, but do not spray food contact surfaces, worktops used for food preparation, or eating utensils. Spray behind and under appliances, along skirting boards, and inside cupboards after emptying them. Wipe worktops if there's any overspray, and always wash your hands after use.
For outdoor wasp nests only. Treat at dusk when wasps are inactive. Wear long sleeves and stand at a safe distance. Spray directly at the nest entrance and the surface immediately around it. Have a retreat route in case wasps emerge. Do not try to treat wasp nests inside walls or lofts yourself โ call a professional pest controller for those.
When used as directed, yes. Keep children and pets out of the treated area until every surface is completely dry. Do not spray pet bedding, pet sleeping areas or apply directly to animals. Cover fish tanks before spraying โ Vital Guard is very toxic to aquatic life. Store locked up.
Vital Guard is water-based, low-odour and normally non-staining. As with any spray applied to fabric or upholstery, we recommend testing on an inconspicuous area first โ especially on delicate or dark materials.
Contact knockdown of flying insects is within seconds. The residual film on treated surfaces continues to kill insects that walk across it for weeks after application, provided the surfaces are not washed away. For active infestations, expect noticeable reduction over days rather than instantly.
The HSE approval covers outdoor use on ant and wasp nests. It's not intended as a general garden insecticide โ do not spray flowering plants (hazardous to bees) or apply near ponds, streams or drains that lead to open water.
The pyriproxyfen in the formula is an insect growth regulator โ it stops eggs and juvenile insects from developing into breeding adults. For moths in wardrobes and fleas in carpets, this is what actually ends the infestation rather than just knocking down the adults you can see. Larvae exposed to it cannot mature.
For a normal domestic application, common-sense care is enough: ventilate the room, keep skin covered where practical, wash hands afterwards, and keep children and pets out until dry. Professional operators must comply with COSHH 2002 and avoid excessive contamination of coveralls.
The 500ml is sized for everyday household pests. If you're dealing with an active bed bug infestation, the 1L Bed Bug Killer+ is what you want โ same triple-action formula, sized for a full single-bedroom protocol with margin for a repeat.
Sized for a proper single-bedroom bed bug treatment: mattress, bed frame, headboard, skirting, carpet edges โ with enough left for a repeat surface spray in 3 weeks if needed. Kills adults, nymphs and eggs.
